Egg Tawashi

"What?" you may ask. "You don't post anything for almost a month and now you present a fried egg?"

To which I reply, "Kinda."

This here is a little crochet egg that's a tawashi (basically, a scrubber), and right now it's being used as the little dish scrubber it was meant to be. It's doing pretty well, though the yolk gets in the way a bit.

Crochet charts scare the heck out of me (like knitting) but this was a very basic one. All you really need to look closely at is the last row for the egg white, since it's not symmetrical. You can download the Japanese pattern by clicking on the photo here:
